Welcome to #CRAFTSHIT 

 

My name is Esha Knows, and I am a multidisciplinary artist whose work is fueled by curiosity and complexity. My art philosophy is simple: #CRAFTSHIT. This is my commitment to process-driven creation, where I reject the limits of a single medium to explore ideas fully.

 

My process is rooted in the active experience of observing, traveling, and living. Having moved from the Bay Area to the UK, I approach every project with an altered perspective, constantly investigating how shifts in culture and place reshape our identity.

 

I treat materials, from the solid nature of woodwork and resin to the fluid motion of paint and writing, as interconnected tools. My professional practice extends to design, where I have successfully created websites, designed logos, and developed style guides for client brands.

 

My illustration portfolio includes completing and copyrighting my first children’s book, with the second one currently in development, and future plans to write a story about my life. I embrace the “all over the place” nature of my practice, allowing the materials to change based on the concept I’m chasing.

 

The work is conceptually driven by transition and perspective. This versatility has earned notable international recognition, including theme-based art selected for publication in numerous issues of Don Magazine (Osaka, Japan), with one piece specifically chosen for the cover, and participation in her first art exhibition in Athens, Greece this year.

 

Ultimately, the #CRAFTSHIT methodology ensures that the raw energy of observed life is never lost. The final portfolio is a cohesive testament to the creative process itself, a dynamic body of work that translates curiosity into professional, powerful forms, making it uniquely suited for both conceptual series and paid custom commissions.

 

Technical Expertise

  • Software: Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Procreate, and various web/design platforms.

Professional Design & Branding 

  • Successfully created client websites, designed logos, and developed comprehensive style brand guides.

Literary & Illustration Work

  • Children’s Books: Completed and copyrighted first children’s book; currently illustrating the second.

  • Creative Writing: Planning a literary project based on personal life and travel experience.
